Re: Whats accommadation like?
all in all ur going to go the college which appeals to u more...
im at austin and can honnestly say that after 2 weeks or so the size of ur room doesnt matter...the number of showers doesnt matter...its the ppl u live with and what u make of it...
i would avoid...
two minute noodles usualy do the trick when college dishes us poo on a plate...
the parking issue is gay! damn the uni for taking our $50 and not having newhere for ppl to park their cars...
i have to be honest - ive forgotten what this thread was actually about !
U need to consider two things...
Where u would like to live...personally its heaps easier living in college...10-15 walk to class...u live with others doing ur degree or units (depends wat ur thinking of doing)...and there is never a dull moment...However saying that doesnt mean that jus...
You'll find that there are alot of education ppl at all colleges - im at austin and all the freshers on my floor and the one below are B.Ed....be it primary or seconday teaching
as soon as i walked away from the puter after i posted yesterday i remembered the washing basket...and htye are a good thing to use while carrying shit up stairs...
and the fridge - i think i would die w/o the fridge...it also makes a very good bedside table..
at austin we have box rooms but...
ballerinabarbie pretty much had it covered - but here are my suggestions...
A bucket - you'll use it for anything and everything...from washing jus one top that u spilt lunch on to avoiding vomit in ur room - quiet a nasty experience ive heard - plus remember vomiting bugs go thro college...
im from dubs but in armidale doing nursing...
dubs doesnt 'dislike' uni students...however - getting a job may be harder (ouside the hospital system) b/c we have alot of ppl (like me) that go home to work...
if u rent a place in dubs - you wouldnt be forking out a shit load in a good...
"shit bush places"...u ever been to bathst, orange, dubs etc...
bit sheltered i think...dont knock something till u try it...for all u know csu is a great place to study
All in all ur "friends" should realise how they are making u feel cos thats what friends are meant to do....
Simply tell them how u feel and move on...
Dont dwell cos that doesnt solve anything...be active in making urself happy and if they dont make an effort - they arent worth it...
Being...
mmm...i cant figure out who it woulda been...
i doubt he was on the disciplinary committee cos we dont have one as such...
at the end of the day pick which college u can see urself living in for weeks on end...unless ur close to home...
see when i did the whole open day thing the chick...
im @ Austin and i was on hols for open day (nurses have diff hols)....im not going to defend austin and say that wat u think isnt tru im jus curious to know who took u on the tour and why it sucked so much...jus curious...
Im at une doing nursing and when u compare the prac times with csu...we do a hell of alot more...in theroy it is better to do alot of pracs but it also gives us a break from sitting in lecture theatres for weeks on end too...
Prac weeks are:
Year one; Sem 1 = 3 weeks
Year one; Sem 2 = 4...
