mm,
I understand it's not for everyone, most (I reckon) will undoubtedly prefer real books for various reasons.

i would still buy books, hearing the actual pages turn is better than the dodgy replicated noise that comes from the iPad.

I'd keep buying real books.

I still buy CD's. I'd buy cassettes if my car played them.

kickin' it old school.

I'll still keep buying real books.
the 2 main reasons have already been mentioned: looking at books on the bookshelf is satisfying and getting to turn physical pages is similarly satisfying, feels like an accomplishment etc.

I like my books on my shelf. I get satisfaction out of watching the shelf fill up with books that I've read.

I would definitely still by real books, but I'd like a digital copy with it, or a hard copy with my digital one.

You people treating the iPad as a great new invention need to get an education though. It's nothing short of a joke and a publicity stunt.

I'm like the opposite of most people in this thread, I'd rather not turn physical pages, and I feel like books take up too much room on my shelf

I'd rather support the book shops (and authors) than download books illegally

Browsing in a book store =/= browsing online imo. I love wandering around in Borders, Dymocks etc. just looking for interesting reads.

I only have e-books for texts that I'm not willing to buy.

For textbooks I would prefer an ebook but reading books I prefer hard copies but I don't mind ebooks.

no, with textbooks I want a hard copy because I can make anotations much more easily!

Actually, downloading textbooks and carrying around a single Ipad is a great idea. I really hate carrying textbooks to uni.
