    Advantages/Disadvantages of doing B Education.

Advantages: Very rewarding if you are willing to make the effort; you can go almost anywhere in the world with teaching - so against popular opinion the opportunities in teaching are not as small as you might think; decent pay without being amazing - and its only going to increase in the coming...

Comment in The Age Newspaper about Education

This has probably already been said, but teaching is much more about 'how to learn' rather than 'what to learn'.

Police shoot teenage boy dead in Northcote

While I believe this is clearly a case of Darwinism, there was four police and only one fifteen year old. Four grown men against one youth. Knives aren't a distance weapon - and while we obviously don't know exactly what occurred - I am surprised that the police found themselves in a situation...

    Sports Media

Not really true watatank. UAI's at UC aren't overly high to start with, but uai's for all courses plummetted everywhere last year due to a couple of factors (less people applying for uni and more places). Prior to this year the UAI for sports media was around 80, and it seems to be a reasonably...

Yep, Johns has retired. Even with his wretched run with injuries he'll be remembered as one of the greatest players ever.

Actually a number of those players were local juniors for the raiders, stuart and daley. I know that's despite the point but I just thought I'd put that in being a raiders supporter. Raiders look as though perhaps they may be on the verge of something with the juniors they have at the moment...

After the Raiders pumping the Knights tonight I think it would be safe to say that a team playing as terrible as the Roosters is in for a similar dishing out.

University of Canberra or University Western Sydney

I'm guessing that would take near up to 4-5 hrs - canberra is about 3 hrs by car to sydney but all the extra shit that goes with public transport it'll prob take a bit longer.

    UC wtf

You can see it in the paper - it doesn't actually say the minimum cut-off for most courses is 65; but its pretty obvious.

    UC wtf

haha the uai's really have dropped though. It looks like the minimum is now 65.

    UC wtf

I guarantee they'll still publish the cut-offs at 75 or whatever. Umm I've studied units of management and its a good deal, but then again doing international studies and journo would be sweet - me myself would probably love getting a job in journo somewhere overseas (being a travel writer with...

You have to remember that Australia actually lost the tri-series the year before when Mini was playing, so really what you're saying probably won't count for dick. Don't get me wrong I think Mini is a great player (he obviously is), but he's no Andrew Johns or Darren Lockyer who is going to get...

Yeah I agree - if it is going to work basically Gasnier is going to have to be a fullback in attack and 5/8 in defence. Hornby essentially the opposite - fullback in defense and 5/8 in attack. We'll see how it goes and what they do I guess.

I don't - but I'd like to think Mini is a modest and smart enough to realise he won't be getting his spot back straight away without proving himself - especially with players such as Hunt, Inglis, Hodges excelling in the Australian side in his departure. Experience? He can't rely on that too...

    2007 NRL Thread

There probably needed to be another sentence in there sorry - but Gasnier will not play as a 3rd centre most of the time. He will be trying to be a 5/8 and throwing long balls and such - if the 3rd state of origin is anything to go by. And the only times he will make impact are when he goes back...
