I got 40 for part A. For that long response I did 7 scientists

For the identifiying part of motor, would split ring commultator be fair? I chose that.

Also for Q30 with the ring with the hole in it. Would you just caluclator magnetic flux and emf like normal despite hole?

I didn’t because emf is an oppositional force to the current, and if the current attempts to travel a non continuous torus, it won’t circle through and resistance will build (atleast, that was my logic)

Nah the potential energy changed because of new distance so u had to calculate the new ones then find difference

I got 5 marks. I found the vertical component and the horizontal component found time, and found distance from launch, but not distance from the new updated position

No it still has an emf induced, just the current can’t flow so there isn’t any current
