However, the mean is the central tendency of the entire population meaning that most of the population would be between that category, give or take one, and plus if it's a decimal you either round it up or down and I can't remember if there was any outliers in the question. But if I did get it wrong, oh well, it's only one and so far i've gotten everything all right
i put mode because it seemed to have the largest column like really big in comparsion to the others ...so i was lyk the guy making the glove would make most profit if he chooses the hand span most ppl in population got.

yet again i could be wrong :(
but you only got 1 question to fuss about ... thats great you'll probably get 99+

unlike me.. i got like 7 or 8 wrong so far </3
sayin goodbye to a band 6

You'll still probably get a band 6, at the least an A9. My maths teacher before the sc was saying before how she was a sc maths marker and how the maths ranks were different and was divided into 10 sections like A10, A9, B8, B7, etc. So don't worry, I'm sure you'll get into band 6, you're really smart~~ ;)

what did you guys put for the question that said what which information would benefit the shop owner the most the :mode, median or mean to see what glove size he should manufacture
:jaw:
I put median, it can be better than the mean as it is unaffected by outliers.

I'm pretty sure the q asked for the weight of the jar.
ohh great i thought the jar was 7.6 g but now i realised the nails were 7.6 g and the jar was really 160... :(
even an idiot wud know that a glass jar won't way 8 grams ....imm such a *#@!$^&*()!

it kills.....

There, there *pats head*. I made even more stupid mistakes when it came to my school yearlies. In my year 9 maths yearly, I drew a diagram of a triangle and while doing that I did the subtraction that would give me the final answer to the question and instead I put that answer as the side length of the triangle and then did the subtraction again with that number and got the question wrong...I felt like banging my head on a pole after realising what I had done and during this year's yearly, my calculator decided to go crazy on me and so my calculations for a certain question went haywire...

i put mode as manufacturers would largely produce the most common size.

@ipodnano
im pretty sure you didnt have to put a reason. i didnt anyway...

what was the answer to that question about the rectangle's area on the number plane?? i put 8, but idk if its right
Yeah i think it was 8...

And as for the shirt one, I put Mean, since it would be the average of the sizes, and that he could produce two different sizes in higher amounts, which would benefit him more..

see I thought this question was stupid.... if they wanted to provide 1 type of glove for everyone then mean would be best, if they cared about the population. If they wanted money, then the mode would be the best... also the median, is a mixture of the two.

yes but look its a manufacturer.
all they essentially care about is money and higher productivity.
hence they'd MAINLY produce the most wanted size of gloves.
mean is affected by the outlier so i reckon its not it...
although you got a point saying that a glove could be produced for various sizes..
but hey, its a SC question...you have to maintain simplicity...so the obvious answer imo is mode.
who cares..1 mark..pssh...
