Legal Studies:
- A research paper on the Security Council UN: 9.5/10 – I’m ok with that – quite a few people got 10/10 though
- Speech (Security Council UN): 13.5/15 – only three people have done their speeches so far, and I’ve done better than both of them
- Assessment task on Basic Legal Notions – 29/30, got beaten by two people, one got full marks, the other got 29.5

Physics
- Practical on Moving Cars – A (the only A in the class :) )
- A graph we had to do – 4/4 (I reckon about 70% of the class got 4/4)

Chemistry
- Prac on Gravimetric Analysis - A- (one person got an A)
- Prac on Physical Properties of Elements – A (about three people got an A)
- Research Assignment on Industrial Separation Techniques – A (about 6 people got A’s)

All in all - I'm pretty happy. If I can keep this up for the rest of the year, I'll be stoked.

No Assessment results back but just for some smaller tasks:
Advanced English:
Creative Task: 19/20
Essay: 18/20

Ext English:
Short and long responce q's 17/20 (should have done better)

Chem:
Pracs: 10/10, 10/10, 9/10 (messed up my conclusion)

I'll let you know when i get my assess results back ;)

English Advanced
- "Rhapsody on a Winter's night" Creative Writing Task, 9/10

English Ext 1:
- Visual Representation of a Utopia, 9.5/10
- Speech on "Pursuit of the ideal" 11/15 (Whole class stuffed that one)

Mathematics
- "Revision of Year 10 Test" 45.5/48 (3rd in class)

Biology
- "Measuring distribution and abundance Practical" 10/10
- "Human Impacts of a Local Ecosystem" 10/10
- "Fieldwork study of Camp Kendron" 3/3  (Only one person got 2.9)

Chemistry
- "Practical on Gravimetric Analysis" - A (Actually 3 people got A's, Thomas)
- "Practical on Physical Properties of Elements" – A
- "Research Assignment on Industrial Separation Techniques" – A

Too bad none of these tasks actually count toward my final mark but it still gives me good preparation for the assessment tasks ahead.

Wow, a lot of you have your marks set out...I'm getting good grades, except neither of them count towards our report when I looked through my assessment booklet. I remember I got 51/54 for a mathematics extension 1 test, tied 3rd in the class, but it doesn't go towards anything. The teachers say the current marks before the half yearly exams are just an overview to see how well your going and how much you need to improve, by the time your half yearlies begin.

Haven't really gotten any marks or grades which would be used in the process of reporting and/or ranking.

I know who you are now. Eric. (I think)

It's Windy Night. :p

Hagan's a little bit eccentric to be dividing his marks up into 0.1 of a mark.

Really? Deeming said it was just one person - I thought it was just you.

Chemistry:
  • 9/10 in the industrial separation process. I did nickel and made A2 poster out of it. Top the classes (including other classes).
Mathematics:
  • 32/33 in first internal HSC Mathematics task. Came 2/83 including accelerant year 11 and year 12.
I think that is all I can think of. Feeling alright. Would have been so much happier if I topped Mathematics in the year. But it only counts 10% so I can beat the top guy in the next assessment coming in 2 weeks (studying!!!!!).

Does anyone have exams/assignments that go towards their reports?

I have one coming up next week for Business Studies which is about 10% of my whole report.

I also have biology exam in week 10 along with HSC internal Mathematics Extension 1. That pisses me off. I will have to divide my time really effectively because I want to come first in Biology and beat those year 12 guys in Mathematics Extension 1.

We've already had an assessment task in Legal (29/30), as well as the report (9.5/10) and the speech (14/15).

But we've got quite a few assessments coming up:
1. Week 9 - English Speech on our AoS - Identity (Advanced)
2. Week 10 - Legal Assignment due
3. (Week 10 - people that do Eco have an assessment task - thank god I don't do Eco).
4. Week 11 - English Assessment on Utopia (Extension 1)

Joy.

90% 2 unit test rank 16/87

58% 3 unit test rank 22/66
90% with rank 16? That's ridiculous! 15 people got over 90%? That's pretty impressive or indicating that the exam was not of high standard.

And on the other hand, I guess 3 unit test was pretty tough seeing that 44 people got less than 58% and probably failed.

I was so disappointed I still havent got over it
16/20 is good, don't be so bitter

80% B+ - its not the end of the world - in fact I'd be rather happy with such a mark :)
