I get what they mean by SC not being a good indicator of potential/ability.

Yep, I agree. The guy who got 1st place for the year in science at my school got an 87 and I, who is not doing any science next year and who got 77 in my trial walked out with a 93... I'm ecstatic but also kinda confused. So yeah, I get that it may not always be a good indicator

i thought i was going to get high 90's in maths and science but ended up getting low 90's.......dont know what happened but im still happy. anyone overestimate their marks?

Yep... overestimated my English and History marks to the maximum. Oh well, I still did fine.

I was expecting low 80s in History and mid 80s in Science, got 96 in His and 91 in Sci. I was expecting the get higher in English though. It's hard to predict.

suzlee im in the same boat as you ~ was expecting low 80's for geo ( this year was my first year doing geo since once upon a time i lived interstate... like srsly i dont know anything about geo )

and it ended up being my highest mark... so shocked lol!

i was kinda upset with maths and english *pokes sc marks*

but

i am in the process of getting over it <-- (looking at this smiley made me dizzy so i decided to insert it to test if it had the same effect on you guys)

I underestimated Geo, since I did two of the extendeds in the last 20 minutes. I was writing down anything and everything that came into my head, and my hand was dead after =.= And I got 95.

When I saw that History was my highest, I was pretty shocked. I didn't expect to do the best in that, but I did spend a lot of time on it (causing me to rush Geo), so I'm really happy with it XD

I thought I'd do better in Science, it was a pretty simple exam - no hard questions or anything. Thought I'd get a band 6, but eh, 89 is close enough. I hoped that I would get 90+ for English but, considering I missed out the 3marker and screwed up that section and the letter thing...I wasn't expecting much.

Was expecting higher than Band 1 but ahwell onli sc

LOL tbh anyone with half a brain can get band 5 and 6 for the sc i just wanted to challenge myself for the sc trials as a warm up i dont no if my experiment proves anything but to me it does

English - 92 - Band 6 - screwed up that goddamn bushranger thing!!
Maths - 86 - Band 5 - so surprised!! I am absolute rubbish and was expecting way less!!
Science - 97 - Band 6
Geography - 95 - Band 6
History - 98 - Band 6
Computers - 98

Wow, everyone has done so well! Now I'm just freaking out about next year ...

Some one at my school got marks like 38, 19 for Geo and he didn't even reach 40! He has never been in life skills either and yeah I feel really sorry for him... He won't be accepted into yr 11.
