Definitely wth?! An 85-87 raw is insanely good and would have an E4 in the bag with ease

haha hopefully but general consensus is that most people found it pretty simple but scaling is out of our control so no point dwelling on it anymore!

Yikes that is bad luck did anyone think do put a plus/minus before the cosine function? I mean technically the ‘max displacement’ could have been up or down? I considered it but decided not to

Displacement has direction so you would have to. I did plus

btw raw 85 generally aligns to mid 90s from raw marks info, highly doubt it aligns to less than 90 this year even with the easier exam

total mass = 6m (of the system) which was the denominator, and there was a factor of 2 you could remove from both top and bottom

since when did you learn about pulley's in 4unit? Was it atwood machine? Did u actually need to know physics?

Its a 3u enrichment question (vector q), was surprised it appeared in 4u. Anyway you find vector OT in two different ways:
OT = lambda OS as T lies on OS
OT = OP + mu PR as T lies on PR
Equate the two, and equate coefficients of vectors r and p, and you should get lambda = mu = 2/3

since when did you learn about pulley's in 4unit? Was it atwood machine? Did u actually need to know physics?

I think pulleys are in the course (in 3U thought), and they're occasionally in other trials, although yr 11 phys knowledge did certainly help.

I choked the multiple choice and lost 3 marks. Looks like i lost 7-9marks depending on how leniant they are
