Hey guys, I have no idea what to expect as an ATAR.

Im studing:
Maths Adv.
Maths Ext. 1
English Standard.
Chemistry
Biology
PD/H/PE

Yr 11 rankings:
Maths Advanced = 4th from 15
Maths extension = 4th from 7
Biology = 2nd from 52
Chemistry = 3rd from 11
PD/H/PE = 1st from 48
English standard = 2nd from 148

I'd really appreciate your suggestions and ideas . :)

um wrong section >< you're probably going to get moved anyway haha so meh.
uhh do you have your year 12 results? Year 11 results aren't indicative oh how you're going to go.
also, add your school rank as an added reference.

true, yr 11 results aren't a good indicator

Maths Advanced = 4th from 15

4th place from a previous 15th place
or
4th out of 15??

Ranks won't allow us to help you figure out a rough ATAR. We need MARKS not ranks.

You could be 1st out of 100 students but have only achieved only 50/100. See why we need marks instead?

And year 12 marks would be much more helpful.
No you idiot, we need ranks - marks is irrelevant.

We need her school rank as well as her ranks in her subjects.

Even then it's just an estimate.

that was 4th from 15 people.

yeah i understand. stupid of me not to give you my marks.

Year 12:
Maths advanced = 85%
Maths extension 1 = 66%
Biology = 95%
English = 90%
PE = 94%
Chemistry = no assessment mark yet.

Thanks a lot for you help. :D

like tommykins said, we need her ranks, not her marks. I could get 50/100 and still get state rank, if i was first in the grade.
We need your school rank if unsure please check here

ATARcalculator.com tells me you could get 96.35 with those marks in year 12. I've got no idea if this is realistic or not so check for yourself.

unrealistic, because its only the first assessments, and aligning comes into play aswell.

I would estimate about mid 80's to early 90's, but its hard to estimate this early into the year

^ at the posts in general

Just so so you guys, doing well at school i.e. does not automatically mean you will do well in the H.S.C, as often, certain schools (especially selective) mark more harshly. And also, it also depends on how well your school fares.

The exams on the day are also quite stressful, and can break the best of students. For instance, I know of a girl in at a higher end selective school who I expected to get a 95+ ATAR with her amazing marks but ended up in the low 80s due to poor exam performance.

My advice - don't underestimate anything during the H.S.C.

Pride goeth before a fall.

but then if the test was insanely hard, then 50/100 might be good
so ranks could be a better indicator

Um... I hope you're not putting in the raw marks. The raw marks mean nothing until it's aligned after HSC.

Her school is ranked 436th >< it's too hard to tell. The school is not a great school and her ranks are good in that particular school. However, if she were to be marked with the top 100 schools she might be able to compete as well, hence showing why her school is 436th. You really need to aim for 1st in all your subjects in a low ranked school such as yours :( I'm sorry...
but it's the truth. if you don't want to get owned by your fellow classmates who WILL drag you down you ought to try and get 1st! :D you can do it~ but atm I'd say 80+

too early to say. You should get a nice accurate score after maybe 3 or so of your exams and assessments have taken place. perhaps just before your trials are about to start. Right now your ranks are still quite premature.
