Senior math > Junior math

It's actually fun and a challenge (relatively) for once, with more practical purpose than number crunching for the sheer sake of it. :uhhuh:
i do NOT enjoy a challenge. it means i fail.

i do NOT enjoy failing either.

and it's pretty difficult, which is why i need a tutor. or else i would fail the hsc too.

Why don't you drop down or not accelerate in it?

i thought of dropping it, but nah.

and accelerating means i can repeat it again next year, which is an advantage.

hopefully i would get better in it.

Nah, they just won't re-teach algebra, they'll assume the kids already know it and they won't worry about the first topic in 2U.
Oh! They won't re-teach it! I thought they completely chucked algebra out. *phew*

That's true. I love senior math. It takes maths into a whole new level and it's so fun! (I'll be biting my tongue once I start doing 4u maths )

Maths is quite frankly: the death.
Always hated it - always gave me so much stress, even in primary school.
Loved English, but Maths...shudder!!!
Don't understand it, don't know why you'd want to understand it and most of all am dreading my continuation in the infernal subject in year 12.. Unfortunately, it was either general maths or drama, and decided i really did not want to do group performance...
I simply stare incredulously when one says they like maths. Like it?! Is it possible?
Someone tell me:
Are there people who LIKE maths or are there merely people who are GOOD at it?
I suppose if you're good at it, you might be more inclined to not resent it all that much..
Sorry about the length of this post, but have strong feelings of deep resentment when it comes to this topic haha
i love mathematics.

Just wondering, but why do people from SBHS call their school just by 'High'?

i dunno, other schools call us high too, i think its coz high was one of the only public schools ages ago in sydney and it was just called sydney high school, so they were called high, and now its just known that we're called high and wat else can we call ourselves? lol

I agree. If I suddenly do badly at it, I suddenly grow hatred towards it. But that's only when I perform badly despite my hard work.

Maybe it was the only thing that distinguished us from our GPS counterparts.
