its not that ranks are more important than the exam, because in the end they are given equal weighting. its just that ranks are more important than internal assessment marks, because it is the rank that decides whos exam mark you get as your assessment mark, and there may be a vast difference...

"You must do a total of 6 units of credit in General Education courses in year 2 and 6 units of credit in year 3." i stand corrected :) btw about how many extra hours a week do 6 UOC come out as?

yep, at unsw you do clinical from the just about day one ;)

you get to feel like an idiot for not knowing as much as the second years :cool:

not sure if this has been mentioned, but first and second years are integrated in phase one, so half the people in your scenario group will know alot more than you do :)

just had clinical, she said that there would be the same number as second years as first years in clinical groups, and wed all be paired off for 'mentoring'

hey gordo is taht 267 as a percentile or as a mark in the umat? i got in with 99.05 and 189 mark on umat.

yeah, they say they weigh the interview, umat and uai equally, but how can you weigh a test out of 300, a RANKING out of 100 (50000) and an interiew equally?

afaik, you can go to alot of umat prep courses, but id say what other people mentioned about taking iq tests would be just as good, especially for the visual logic parts of the test. Personally, i got through just by doing the 10 or so questions in the application booklet, but everybody's...

has anyone heard anything about when the med session is on o-week? I think the guy said it would be on the 22nd, but he was pretty vague about it.

Was wondering if someone could explain the horror with which foundations is mentioned? What was so bad about it?

i also feel really blessed having gotten in, with what i thought was an average umat score (189) and an ok uai of 99.05. I must have done better in the interview than i thought!
