and wat do i need to get in order to get into the more advanced course in the second year so i can do MATH 2901 instead of MATH 2061 from doin math 1001,1002 and etc

you need to get a Distinction to go into the advanced level subjects.

can't speak for 1005 (I did 1004), but they shouldn't be too difficult. 1002 is fairly easy but I felt that there was quite a bit of content in all of them for 3cp units. My 3u mark was 48/50, and I did fairly well in the these units (76-84), but they were my hardest units at uni, and I felt I had to put just a bit more work into them than I did during high school.

hope that helps

eeeeeeeeeeeep  hard work
damn it. im most worried about 1005
i may hate statistics more that i ever hated probability (this, my friends, is a huuuuge statement, for i hated probability more than i hate tomatoes)

don't worry. follow the lectures and keep up with the tutes and you'll pass. :) If you're really that bad at maths, you should be doing the life science units.

If you're worried about 1005, do 1004. I found 1904 to be some of the easiest marks I got in first year.

mmm, but they recommended that i do 1005 for med science. and i dont really want to be 'individual' and miss out if you know what i mean.

They recommended I do 1905 for mechatronics, but 1904 turns out to be more relevant to my degree structure.

*shrugs.

well 1005/1905 is required if you want to do second year stats. Theres also math2069/2969 discrete maths and graph theory whihc overlaps most of math1004/1904 so you can do that in second year if you want. But either way, just choose one.

ohhh... geez... im sooo screwed cause i onli got like 43/50 for 3u as i need ds and hds for the first year

i was wonderin wat MATH 1002 and 1001 has in its course

for instance does linear algebra include

vector stuff with complex no. and eignvectors
euclididean space and scalar product
matrices
echelon matrices
simultaneous linear equations
and multivariable stuff

i jus listed some that might be in the course but since there is no outline of wat to study, i have absoluteli no idea where to begin to study for then

if possible could someone outline the exact stuff needed to be learnt in MATH 1001 and 1002 so i no wats in the first semester of work

thanks in advance

Actually what I'd recommend you guys do, since it makes no difference anyway, is do flexi first year for first semester (or regular mechatronics, or whatever) then transfer second semester, thereby avoiding KC and not being penalised at all.
