Biggest cinematic masterpiece = Apocalypse Now. Especially considering the shit Coppola had to go through during its production. Amazing film.

and Pulp Fiction...despite what anyone says timeless masterpiece.

okay this thread is full of 1)dumbcunts who wouldn't know a good movie if it slapped you in the face and 2)pretentious wankers who are throwing out names of postmodern films which they didn't really understand but think they will look cool because they have seen it and 'love' it

the big green.

many of you probably havn't heard about it.
some kids from a rural american town get an english exchange teacher in their crummy school. the teacher introduces them to soccer, and they start a team and enter it in the local competition. they suck at soccer, but they have alot of heart, and a spanish prodigy. (i won't ruin the ending for those who are interested)

it was awesome when i was 7 years old, and it was awesome when i watched it a few months back.

I don't think there's a best ever film. But movies that affected me deeply or changed my perspective on something, which all good movies should do.

Memento
Fight Club
Pan's Labrynth
Dogma
Se7en
Donnie Darko
Schindlers List
12 Angry Men
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Mystic River
Good Will Hunting
Up
Crash
Edward Scissor Hands
Blood Diamond
Twelve Monkeys
Dances with Wolves
Amelie
