ComSoc is holding it's first ever camp. You don't have to be in the eco & bus faculty to attend and we're opening it up to later years.
We have way tooo much alcohol atm and need more recruits.
Last chance to buy tix is tomorrow at the merewether building.
$120 (if you bring a friend; or pretend you are).
Friday - Sunday.

I'll be there, and this means there's no such thing as too much alcohol.

More like alcoLOL.

check your email dude, have you paid in full???

Dear Camp Attendees,

We hope you are all excited about the first year camp, which promises to be
a weekend packed with almost too much fun! The camp is being held at Broken
Bay Sport and Recreation Centre, a beautiful island at the mouth of the
Hawkesbury River on the Central Coast. We will be traveling to and from
the mainland by train from central, where we will be collected by a ferry
to take us to the island.

When and Where to meet:
Date: Friday 24th March 2006
Time: 12:15pm sharp
Location: Meet ComSoc team outside Hungry Jacks on the top level of Central
Railway Station, outside Hungry Jacks
Cost: Return transport from Central Railway Station to Hawkesbury River
Station will cost $6.00 each way for students traveling with their USYD
student card.

For those who are not totally familiar with Central, there are two sections
-Suburban platforms and Sydney Terminal. We will be meeting at Sydney
Terminal, outside Hungry Jacks, where all the intercity trains arrive and
depart. If you get lost, ask someone for directions to Hungry Jacks.

So what will you do on the camp?
It’s a great opportunity to meet other first year students or have an
awesome time with your current friends. A party on both the Friday and
Saturday nights, casual sports games during the day on Saturday (optional)
and breakfast/lunch/dinner at the facility.

What to bring:
o Linen – A sleeping bag or sheets (blankets are provided) & pillow case
o Beach towel
o Shower towel
o Toiletries
o Umbrella
o Torch
o Swimmers
o Casual clothes to wear on Saturday and Sunday
o Closed toed shoes – e.g. sneakers (health and safety regulations require
students to wear closed toed shoes whilst eating meals in the dining hall)

o Friday Night Party Outfit
Theme: Cowboys and Cowgirls
Come join your fellow campers for a ‘Daisy Duke inspired hoe-down’
Girls: Denim shorts and cowboy boots
Guys: Flannelette shirts, jeans and cowboy hats

o Saturday Night Party Outfit
Theme: Hawaiian Night
Come and enjoy a few drinks by the bonfire on the beach.
Dress Code: Bikinis and Board shorts

Sleeping Arrangements:
The Camp sleeps 120 people in 4 lodges. Each lodge has 2 dorm-style rooms
with 10 sets of bunk beds in each. Each room has an ensuite with 3 showers
and 3 toilets. Males and Females will be sleeping in separate lodges.

Emergency Contact:
Mobile phones do not work on the island. In case of emergency, your family
can contact Broken Bay Sport and Recreation Centre’s landline telephone on
02 4349 0627. Please note that this is for emergency purposes only.

Other Information:
o All alcohol is provided, there is no need to bring you own and it will
not be allowed.
o Please ensure you bring a valid proof of age card or license, and your
student card.
o Valuables can’t be locked away whilst on camp; The Commerce Society takes
no responsibility for any lost or stolen items. We recommend that you bring
minimal valuables with you: this includes mobiles, Ipods and large amounts
of cash.
o The only cost you will incur during the weekend is your return train
ticket from central ($6.00), therefore we suggest you travel with no more
than $30 with you.
o We will be returning to Sydney on Sunday afternoon by bus. Students can
set-down at Chatswood (at approx 4pm) or Central (at approx 4.30pm).

Try to pack light, we are going for a good time, not a long time!

If you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact our very
very friendly Social Executives - Genevieve: 0421348030 and Stas:
0403767674 or you can reply with questions to this email.

If you are lost or have an emergency on friday please call:
Jacquie: 0412266735
Andrew: 0422571854
Stas: 0403767674

See you all there!

Cheers,
Genevieve and Stas

If people use hotmail they don't deserve to receive emails.
