scrapped princess is a good anime, but champloo kicks ass. definitely watch champloo.

you can see cosplays around anime conventions. there's this annual convention... can't remember what it's called. went to it twice, and it was pretty good... had screenings of new animes and such. also a great place to buy dvds (usually on special). searching on google would probably give you the info you're looking for.

Personally I wouldn't dress up as a character that wouldn't suit my features. I want to go as Naruto or Sasuke but my face don't suit either of them. I'd have better luck as Gai.
I wish people would stop playing a character not suited for them. The number of ugly fucks who turn up to cosplay puts alot of people off going to them. Then again we can always laugh at how stupid they look. NO FAT JEDIS!

so you're saying that fat people should all turn up as sumo players?

geeze...how many people in real life actually look like anime characters anyway with v shaped faces, legs are three times as long as your body, large oval shaped eyes.

I think those people who dress up for cos plays are more doing it for themselves because they want to, or dream to be their favourite characters which is really what cosplay is so why should they not be able to do that. You can always turn the other eye if you want but they have the right to dress up as anyone they like and not who they most look like.

ahh, i have a feeling this is gonna become a serious argument.

i say, if you're brave enough to dress up to goto a cosplay, then good on you.

personally, i couldn't fit it in me to actually dress up / buy costumes. so yeah.

anyway, back on topic about anime,

D.N.Angel... seen that recently, meh out of 10, i'll give it 6.5 - 7.

I fail to find most 'anime' to be amusing, Although some aim towards realism, others are just pathetic and doesn't really base themselves on life.
ROFL1

1if you haven't realised, it's because most animes don't try to be realistic. i mean, people can't fly and giant robots shooting layzerz out of their eyes don't really exist.

nor is it possible to be able to change ur eyes to be able to see other people's spirit flow

or even possible to put ur hands together forming a + and making multiple clones of yourself.

OR even possible to name a sword and change the form of the sword.

but then again, woh really compares anime to reality anyway ? o_O
