First year here in electrical engineering

Writing notes is too much work and it wastes times that can be used to do exercises

So far I read the slides before lectures, annotate the slides during the lecture (how many papers do you use in the end semester?I have lots and lots of waste papers in the end of semester 1), read the annotated sides after the lecture,do the exercises.

That's it and I don't think that's adequate to get decent marks
My marks so far are credits and passes

If all else fails, ask your course convener on the best way to study the course.

In most courses, notes aren't even necessary. Sometimes it's just best to practice doing exercises until the concept is solid in your head, imo. From there, everything will flow well.

Do the exercises/homework sets/past papers. You probably do maths, computing, elec and physics. All these subjects have weekly exercises so there is reasonably adequate material out there for you to understand the content. Which is it do you have the most trouble in?
