It is the quality of your sleep that matters, not necessarily the quantity...
so true ^

also usually i'll get 5-7 hours of sleep in per night. ive found that if I try to sleep early I have a VERY low quality sleep throughout the night which puts me in a bad mood the next day and yeah it's just not a pleasant experience

but even if the quality of sleep is good 3-4 hours isn't really good for someone right?
No even if it's quality sleep that probably wont suffice. Though i know people who get through the week like this. Much respect

I usually go to bed at 11-11:30 then get up at 7 (or earlier if I have to), but it often takes me about an hour or more to fall asleep :(

Usually fall asleep around 12 - 1AM. Wake up around 7:30AM. Approx. 7 hours.
If I go to bed earlier that 11:30 I find that I can't sleep and usually end up reading until I fall asleep.
