I think this might be the correct area to post it. I am currently do chem and for one of our prac we need to write a risk assesment on different substances. I looked at the website(epubintra) they gave us to use but it no longer exists. I was wondering does anyone know any websites which I could use to help me in doing the risk assessment?

I need to find hazards for things like
Aluminium, Copper, Magnesium, Charcoal, Iron Nails, Zinc, Graphite, Lead, Tin, Sulfer(power) and Red Phosphorous

I'm, like, borderline and a hypochrondriac, and I think everything's going to kill me, so there's my cred outta the window.

I remember having to do so many RA's that I can generalise that:
1. All chemicals above are respiratory irritants.
2. If eye contact, douche eye with copious amounts of water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention ASAP.
If skin contact, wash off with water.
If swallowed, drink much water and seek medical attention ASAP.

Specifics:
Pb: Toxic - cumulative/chronic nervous-system poison.
Goggles and gloves.
S: Dispose as solid waste.
Don't burn without proper ventilation, as burning sulfur will released toxic gases.
Fe: Flammable.
Al: Flammable. Well-ventilated area.
Dispose as solid waste.
Cu: Dispose as solid waste.
P (red): relatively harmless; don't burn without proper ventilation, as burning phosphorus will released toxic gases.
Goggles and gloves (especially if you're ever handling white phosphorus).

With storage, I see no strong acids or bases, so standard bottling/storage in labelled container - plastic.

Goggles and gloves ARE standard.

Yeah, goggles can be used in about 95% of experiments.
