My Year 10 tutor converted me from:

Saying low-cus to lock-cus.

It would be an interesting concept that the pronunciation of a word, but not the spelling, should change to reflect a different sense. *shrug*

I always thought the correct pronunciaton was 'low-cus' but I've been converted to 'Lock-us' because of my Maths Teacher :s

our teacher has an accent so we though why is she saying lock-us? But yes, apparently that's the correct pronunciation.
