So, I've changed my mind significantly about what I want to do since I picked my subjects...

Would it still be possible to do economics, without advanced math or eco...

I dropped to general for the sake of my ATAR

I currently do Business, 4u english, Visual arts and General Math..

I would obviously do a bridging course etc.etc. and willing to put in the work, but ATAR permitting, is it possible?

Cheers

Yeah, once you get into university, it's generally a brand new slate.

There are exceptions with regards to Engineering, which generally requires 3U Maths, Physics (and either Chem or Bio, depending on which Engineering). But for instance, Law requires no legal studies whatsoever. Economics requires no HSC Business Studies or Economics, etc etc.

They start from scratch at university level in economics. Like some of the stuff in Microeconomics this semester was preliminary Econ stuff - supply and demand, opportunity cost, etc.

probably also best to add

As uni is totally different you maybe will totally dislike doing the uni course if you never have done the HSC subject, so if you never looked at the Economics Course, you may find you hate the uni course.

Note: Dropping to General is not necessarily healthy for the ATAR.

I thought I'd hate Economics. But I'm seriously loving it in uni, and I'm doing pretty good at it too.
