Figured I'd post my marks from the half-yearlies I finished at the end of last term. I just got my results back.

My maths marks are confusing. Instead of having a half yearly, we just had an exam in week 6 of the first term. Anyway, I tied first with 39/40. That was a 2U exam, so I don't know what the deal is with 3U.
I just got my results back for physics today. 84%. First in the grade.
For chemistry, I got 67/68 (99%). First in the grade.
For engineering studies, I got 85%. First in the grade.
For business studies, 64/70 (91%). Second in the grade.
For advanced english 34/45 (76%). Somewhere about halfway in down the class.

My original goal for this year was to come first in all my subjects by the end of the year. It is a low ranking school (300s or so), so coming first is not impossible. Now I just need to focus my energy into my business studies and english, but not lose my position in other subjects at the same time.
Nice marks/ranks.. Keep it up!

Hiya, I'm aiming for an ATAR of 85+
My subjects are;
Advanced English
Extension English 1
General Maths
Geography
Drama
Society and Culture
PD H PE
I think I will pick up extension English 2 and drop PD for HSC

Just wondering what scores would I be looking at for each of my subjects to reach my ATAR goal!?

CHEERS!!

Hey, if you want to swap notes or anything for geography, just PM me. I know there are not many textbooks or past papers for Geo :)

Probably best to post a new thread so people who ''specialise'' in ATAR predictions can help out.

Lol I had to decide mine in like March, and the project's due term 3, week 2. I ended up taking a teacher's recommendation to explore traffic on the road where my school is located.

I'm not entirely sure yet, tossing up between the new Local Environment Plan for my local council, or a new housing development near my school.

My teacher told us to look at an issue that was local, so it was easy to find information about. Maybe you could try a park or river near by or is there a new housing development nearby?

49/50 for Economics. I got a 19/20 for my essay, but I didn't have any comments from the teacher outlining any problems - so maybe I'll ask about that 1 mark and try get 100% for Economics Half Yearly.

3U Mathematics rekted the whole class; anyone who got 90% is a god for this half yearly.

The more local it is, the easier it is to access, and therefore the easier the project becomes :D
Yeah rivers are good- could look at runoff or something :D though human geography is easier because you don't have to go and buy testing equipment, just make some surveys and interview people
