Agree.

APRA - much more regulated financial markets. Helping our economy deal with the financial crisis.

Floated dollar - Opened up our economy to the rest of the world.

A wide range of microeconomic policies to increase productivity.

OH WAIT LOL. DATS PAUL KEATING.

Whitlam was a crazy idealist with implausible dreams. period.

whether he was an idealist, we studied him in class, and therefore may need to write about him in the SC.

how unfortunate.

Hahaha, Howard was shit. He introduced the GST and did heaps of stuff to the law like define marriage between a man and a woman that way gay couples couldn't get married using that loophole. Sheesh.

GST is good and KRudd agrees with GST, so chances are we were gunna get it

And if the worst he did was reform marriage laws, where they existed before it was 'assumed' marriage was between man and woman, all he did was redefine the existing law so that it specifically said man and woman. Secondly, it was passed by the ALP, and the ALP might be full of hippy socialists, but it also has a proportionate amount of Catholic conservatives (a la Ruddkip)

So idk, if those two things are what make Howard 'shit', you're glossing over the other things he achieved for Australia

Because riding a mining boom was pretty hard to do, as was withdrawing money from tertiary education and starving Medicare.

And taking a confrontational attitude towards Indigenous Australia, dogwhistling the racist politics of Pauline Hanson and pursuing a non-consultative, whitey-knows-best Intervention into Aboriginal communities have been the pinnacle of benevolent and wise social policy decisions.

Enlighten me as to his brilliant achievements, because all of his taxes seemed to affect my family and we got none of the benefits despite earning collectively less then 100k a year?

:)
