Following diagram is needed (attached).

Prove that,

(a) Triangle APC = Triangle AQC
(b) PC is parallel to AQ
(c) PC = AQ
(d) AQCP is a parallelogram

class-9-maths-chapter-8-ncert-9.JPG

Need help with all, thanks :D

Edit 1: ABCD is a parallelogram such that AP = QC and AP is parallel to QC

Do we know if ADBC is a parallelogram or anything?

I'm trying to visualise the line AC connected and it's really hard but I just ate so I'm really lazy lol. Sorry to bug you but can you please join AC for me?
I got the image off google, I have no touchscreen phone, I have a brick (with no camera)....I tried searching the question from my textbook online but nup, only this triangle comes up, its not even supposed to be like that. In fact, it's supposed to be horizontal, not vertical.....

Anyways, sorry dude, I actually can't do anything........ :///////////

BTW, AC IS SUPPOSED TO BE CONNECTED NOT PQ...

Soz, this diagram looks identical to the one in the book....

Lol all I meant was cause Q1 you said triangle APC is cong to triangle AQC so I was like ...yeah I had to draw it in myself. Ah ok sorry just wait for someone today haha actual reason is not cause I just ate, more like I just had some teeth ripped out and am just chilling.

Still though, with a) I had the idea to use alternate angles + given sides equal + AC common ---> SAS

I'm pretty sure the diagram is correct but we have to join the line AC together.

@axwe Oh I did not mean that AC and PQ coincide. They intersect at some point though.

P and Q never meet, only A and C do...

So there is no such line as PQ, only AC.

I.e replace the PQ line with AC.

How is it in your diagram then, P and Q do meet? Does it say anywhere in the full question something that implies they don't?

PQ and AC are very much distinct lines.

In fact, it looks as though P and Q are MADE to lie on the line BD

Bruh, I told you be44, I have a brick phone and can't take a pic. I can't find the book online therefore I can't use snipping tool, hence I took this off the internet.. I looked similar to the one in the book.

The only exception is that PQ is supposed to be AC....

Probably really should've just edited the image on paint or something instead because that really doesn't help lol, the 'altered' diagram.

In other words P and A are supposed to be swapped, and as for Q and C.
___________

Either way my stance on a) doesn't change - AP||QC leads to alternate angles, followed by one common side + AP = QC given in the question --> SAS

b) I believe matching angles on congruent triangles can be used to prove another set of alternate angles

But yeah lazy to think further from there
