Colleges wrapped up before the stuff Up Top last year; by the time we got back down at around 2pm, they'd all but closed up.

Armidale isnt the worst country town I've been too. But its bloody cold! Seriously, in Sydney we were back to wearing shirts, shorts and thongs!

Machine169 - I know on the carriage that I was in on the train, there were about 3 other people going to the uni open day.

Despite the cold, it's much better than what Armidale gets like over Christmas. It gets WAY too hot then ....

I was wearing a shirt and shorts a couple of days ago but a cold snap has come through. Thanks for the train info.

People who are going to open day tell us how the day goes, what impressed you about the colleges and campus information, and what they could do to improve open day.

I thought it was pretty interesting, found out all the info I was after (but, about the colleges - there was nothing suggesting that I could just browse freely through, i.e. signs etc; as far as I could see), and having the bull riding was a good idea lol, it was entertaining watching that.

The signs were removed because all the colleges wanted to be squeaky-clean. Our college computer room was plastered with posters for upcoming shindigs; they disappeared late yesterday, much to my annoyance (I made several of them).

If you were at Duval at any time up until today, you might have seen me. I was the one who was INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATED because I had nothing to do; I wasn't even allowed to help out with the tours when they were short-handed because the Senior RF had knocked me back and would have been severely pissed off if he found someone who wasn't on his list was helping out. Thus, I was doomed to "socialising" in the courtyard, but in the single worst idea since Nazism, the only other people in the courtyard were the ones who I really don't get along with.

course advising was alright. i am now going to do (get this :p):

B Arts/ B Teaching majoring in philsophy and japanese. and then i'll go on for honours and my doctorate in philosophy, (which will be MAD). although i don't know what the process is with honours and phd. or whether i have to do the honours at all. AND i will also be taking an exchange year in japan in my third year. so, how mad does that degree sound?! (well i like it).

i went to the short lecture on philosophy "Ten Reason's not to do Philosophy" it was pretty fun.

Well, I notice no-one cares about us now that Open Day is over.

But their loss is my chocolately goodness.

Sounds better than saying "their loss is my gain" ...
