i spoke to the careers people when i first changed.
they were really nice and did mention stuff about using ur uni marks to 'create' a UAI. It wasnt particularly relevant at the time to me though. they were more concerned with trying to keep me at uni.

u should have changed this year. then we could have been, like, study buddies.

edit: so is there someone who I can ask about all this stuff? I can only think of the dean, or atleast get him to redirect me to someone
yeah, the person in charge of your degree, and the person in charge of the degree you want to change into (ie the degree coordinatiors) usually have the most information. like who to talk to, the marks you *might* need, what subjects you would have to do next year (if there's a chance of being exempted from some units), etc because i'm fairly sure you will have to see them first. you can also try asking the admin for the faculty you want to change into as well.

I was thinking about it then, and I've got a backup plan. As long as I pass everything, I will have the uai required to get into biomed, then you can tutor me on stuff :D

Where did you find these people? Who do I have to email or go see to talk about it?

the careers people are located in the student services building.
when u walk in the main entry, cross the foyer, walk downstairs and turn left. they're at the end of the hall. u will probably have to make an appointment to see them.
Program conveynors could probably be found on the website or u could ask a HUB. Dont bother with shortland HUB though. they've got no idea.
