Here is some info about the subject.

Unit purpose/objectives:
The unit "Sexuality" provides an opportunity to develop awareness and understanding of various facets of human sexuality. It uses a multi-disciplinary approach, drawing from sociology, psychology, anthropology, biology and others. It is about sexuality - not sex. As such, it considers values, feelings relationships, biology and identity.

The purpose of the subject is to encourage students to examine major theoretical perspectives on sexuality, and to explore these in relation to a selected range of topics.

2. Learning Outcomes:
On completion of this unit students will be able to:
• explain historical shifts in the understandings of sexuality
• describe the biological components underlying sexuality
• describe the major studies on sexuality of this century
• critique methods used in sexuality research
• question cultural variations, preoccupations & issues in current conceptions of sexuality
• appraise current concepts of gender identity and sexual orientation
• describe differences in sexuality across the lifespan
• discuss negative experiences related to sexuality
• describe variations of sexual identity and expression

It's not listed in the course handbook, and I've never come across it personally, so it does not appear to be offered.

You will most likely start February 26. Though you'll know for sure when you register for tutorials what days you'll have to go. Autumn semester begins on February 26 so it will be that week, at some point. Have a look at the units you are enrolled in and the days and times which they are offered and we'll be able to tell you more. I start my second unit this year on March 1, so normal undergrad students should expect to start close to this date and during the week 26 Feb-2 March 2007.
