Question: Do peopl from accross courses have a cance to mix much? I'm thinking in particular about music cuz they practice so much and don't get a chance to really socialise as much as the others do?

Well it probably depends on Degrees. For example, it would be pretty hard to meet people from Engineering if you are doing a Business Degree because most of the time they are at different ends of the University. The only chance you would have to meet them would be at the GT Bar or somewhere similar. I think this would be the case with a Music Degree too because (correct me if I am wrong) you would spend most of your time off campus at the Conservatorium. Personally, almost everyone I have met since I have been at University have been doing a similar Degree to me:).

Autonomy Day is the day we celebrate becomming autonomous from whichever uni it was that owned us before (one of the Sydney ones, from memory)

Basically, a day that involves drinking more than humanly possible. Drinking usually commences before sunrise and doesn't stop til many many hours later. Favoured events include the iron man comp, in which people eat really disgusting things. They barf, they're out (unless they choose to eat their own puke, in which case they can continue)

haha right, 5.30pm Friday afternoon, playing in the park with my kids and this drunk stumbles towards us and mumbles incoherently... I was just going to let him be, but then he collapsed and started convulsing, it freaked me out so I called the ambulance..

not really crime i guess, but freaky nonetheless

heh hey my friend in newcastle almost got aids a year ago cos we were skating in the skatepark under the bridge off the freeway and we walked to the fountain to drink and when we returned our boards were missing and a gang of junkies walked past and went "have a nice swim" and started laughing we ran to the lake and there was our boards snapped in half thrown into the river we took our shoes off and jumped in the lake to retrieve our boards my mate told me he stepped on something sharp but we went anyway to get our boards and when he came out of the lake a stringe needle was stuck on his foot we called his parent and they went to the hospital for aids testing and waitied 6mths for the results THANKFULLY he was negative for aids. those fucking junkies!!! :( right now i still skate with my buddy with new boards and his big brother hangs around to keep a watchful eye!!! that shit was fucked!!! :(
