d isn't the stationary observer, that's c
Fine, stationary observer viewing it in a mirror then.

Right, I shall stop. I bow to thee.

if the acceleration is constant, graph it, a curve yes
therefore the derrivative is a straight line
i.e b

well i guess i'll have to settle for 14/15 - now that i look at 6 again I've realised that if what I was saying was correct none of them would have been right

hold on, the frame of referrence of the cart, keeps accelerating afte ru let go of the ball

so wouldn;t it be c
because the bball would seemingly be accelerating horizontally away from u??

shiT! i put d for q6 but now i see that its b
this is how i worked it out but it might be wrong
the vehicle is accelerating uniformly horizontally, say at an acceleration of 9.8m/s2, the same as gravity
the ball is also accelerating at 9.8 m/s2 downwards, so if you compare these two components, you'll get a linear relationship, so the answer is b for q6

i thought 11 would be d cos of the eddy current argument...

eddy currents in the tracks slow the train...therefore by the same argument induction cooktops also use this principle. well, it made sense to me for it to be d :)

howd u go overall tho?
