100% gets 100 scaled...
depending on the exam will determine the scaling
in 2007 99 aligned went to approx 98.2 scaled

im confused would a 96% in 2 unit math scale down

and in order to get close to a 100 i have no choice but to get a 100% im my hsc exam

also by doing ext 1 would that have any influence on 2 unit math just curious

I think you'll find that in most 2U exams 115/120 will get you 98. In the 2008 exam ( which was an extremely easy paper) i think i got 118 or 119/120 and i got 98. But in most past papers i was getting around 116-120, the 116 being the 2003 exam. I't really depends on the paper, but i would say aim for 115/120.

i think your getting confused between scaling and aligning..

2u doesnt align (or scale) too well coz too many asians kill it (and arabs who go to malek fahd lol)

3 unit results have absolutely zilch to do with anything but 3 unit results.

That's aligning.

Yeah, don't worry about scaled marks, you never find out what they're worth, with a couple of exceptions, anyway. High end maths scales down a lot, I've noticed, worse than legal studies; that is, above 94 or 95 aligned.

If you got 115/120 in the exam my guess is that you'd be given an aligned mark of 96 or 97? Not sure
