there was this professional fighter turned teacher at my school.

was apparently no.1 in australia in MMA and no.4 worldwide in his weight division

I trained directly under Si Fu Matt Hanson... I guess I was doing something right or I woulda done a hell of a lot more pushups haha.
Lol. I gotcha, We get punished with pushups too. Although i always get of a lil lighter than the biys cause ima "young lady" heh. :p

Ohh i havent heard of him...i train with the president of the national kung-fu academy, who was also an ex-shaolin monk, or at least he trained with them.

But see, when someone says the best in Australia it doesnt mean much cause i mean AU fighters *in relation to martial arts* are no where as good as those overseas. And i mean how many ppl compete in AU?

lol. I know someone who came 6th in the WORLD competition last year held in China :p

hehe. Still gud though. What subject did they teach?

Nah. Not Asian, Samoan/Irish.

nah this guy was an MMA pro.
he was 4th worldwide
and this is MMA
MMA probably being the hardest

he did kickboxing, muay thai, bjj, karate, etc.

he also taught danny green the boxer in his amateur years

he was.. also a renshi or something, which is 2 above sensei..
and apparently after 6th dan.

and he received the honorary rank from the grandmaster in japan

hmm.
yeah! lol.

he had to close his martial arts place for some reason.

he's quite wealthy too, his wife is a buisness women making millions,
and he's got a few business' of his own.

i guess he just likes to teach.

Thats like my legal teacher who got her com/law degree then decided she "wanted" to teach. :O OMG eww going back to school after spending 13yrs there...no thanks. :p

We had ppl from 'sydney self defence' centre come to our school today and show us some stuff.

The guy reckons he's a 6th degree black belt or something... haha he looked like he couldve stared in one of those obesity posters. No offence.

I've done GKR Karate for about 10 years now. It's been a long ride and next level is black belt. Anyone else do GKR? If so, I probably have seen you! LOL

Wow cool! So many guys I know have at least 'tried' GKR. Like heapppps of people i know haha.
