Is it possible to transfer (after first year) to commerce and law from commerce and economics and still spend only 5 years at uni? What commerce subjects would I have to do in first year to make this possible? Thank you :)

Yes, it is possible.

Please refer to Page 21 which indicates a plan that will allow you to complete Combined Law after a first year transfer: http://www.law.unsw.edu.au/sites/law.unsw.edu.au/files/ebooks/ug/2014/2014-ug-guide.pdf

In terms of which Commerce subjects, you just follow what's recommended on the Commerce/Law Handbook: http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/undergraduate/programs/2014/4733.html

In the requirements, it says:
Approved Commerce courses - 96 UOC (including first year compulsory and flexible core courses plus one major)

So you could simply do the compulsory and flexible cores (you can find that on the Commerce Handbook page), and maybe a course from your desired major (depends on which courses you take).
