1. You were claiming muslims aren't backward because of science, but there's zero evidence that muslims are good at science. Since 56 muslim countries combined can't even compete with Australia.

2. Cousin marriage is backward. The fact that its "normal" is muslim countries just proves they're backward. The fact that they follow a religion based on a cousin fucker is proof they're backward. Maybe all this cousin marriage is why the IQ is lower on average.

As I also said in this thread There is good and bad in every culture - I take a balanced view. I could give you a list of negatives about my own - believe me my culture is FAR from perfect. I have also said things that I like about Aussies and things that I think they dont do well. Like my Year 12 History teacher would say, history isnt full of absolutes.

When I raise my kids, Ill be taking a bit from the Aussies and a bit from my ethnic heritage. Best of both worlds.

Individuals cannot fix the housing crisis. Individuals cannot fix the health system crisis. They cannot fix congestion or a lack of infrastructure. Individuals cannot stop africans breaking into their homes with machetes.

These are things driven by policy, and Australia's policy is ever increasing immigration and denial that it could possibly have any negative impact on these things.

I think there is room for improvement in Australia, but we have it good here I think. I still think the individual can rise above all these things. Like, the media always paints a picture of negativity, maybe for me I tune a lot of that out and look at Australia through my own eyes (learned through work, because Ive seen first hand how little the media know and how much they manipulate). I see a lot of positive in the country and I feel that the individual can still succeed in Australia.

Maybe I just subscribe to that most ancient of right wing values "pull yourself up by your bootstraps".

Also as an aside, my experience with the Australian healthcare system has certainly solidified my belief in the country. My grandmother (who was sick for years and recently passed) had absolutely top notch care from NSW Health. They did everything they could to save her over a 10 year period, probably spending millions in the process. Definitely solidified my love for the country. Even if Aussies are flavourless and passionless, when it comes to public services/governing they are top notch.

Attending a political rally IS doing something about it. it's an attempt to influence political policy, the only way these systemic problems can possibly be fixed.

Back in the day in my culture, newly married brides would stick period blood in their husbands coffee to make them more "virile". For obvious reasons, we dont do that here anymore for the simple reason that it is horrifyingly gross and backwards. I love tradition but somethings are best consigned to history's dustbin.
