Started year 12 with 14 units and i know that it is ridiculous to go into HSC with 4 units not counting.
What are thoughts on what i should drop, because i don't know what will have the best chance of counting or not because im not aware at how much scaling will effect on whether they count or not

School rank is 50 (has fluctuated between 20-50) over past few years.
Here are my subjects and overall prelim marks and ranks

Maths Ext 2
Maths Ext 1 (5/102) 91%
English Adv (1/187) 97%
Legal Studies (1/75) 94%
French Continuers (1/7) 94%
Biology (20/~160) 88%
Chemistry (~18/92) 76%

So you can see that im leaning towards dropping chem, but idk if i should just wait and see at how i go or just drop it bc im finding it difficult to stay on top of it all, so yeah

Drop Chem and focus on your other subjects. 14 units is too much let alone 12 units.

Drop Chem and Bio

^They'll be huge weights off your shoulders

You're already heading for a 99+ ATAR

Keep up the good work :D

If i do keep chem, what mark would result in it scaling to a mark that actually counts?
And also what ATAR do you reckon i could get with those marks above?

drop either biology or chemistry
whichever you don't prefer. because you are doing well, keep 12 units.
keep Maths Ext 1, Legal Studies, French and obviously English.
keep either Biology or Chemistry. (based on marks, keep Biology but only if you enjoy it, if you loathe Biology more than Chem drop it)

at least you can drop from 12 then down to 10 if needed.
14 is too much for HSC. even 13 is a struggle...
12 is ok, depends on the subjects/person.
