I have received some contrasting advice from my teachers of what to do in the holidays.
- Some teachers say study and work hard during the holidays because we might forget everything by next year, which means we have to waste time revising in class and consequently fall behind.
- Some teachers say relax and make the most of it, because it's the only true holidays we have until the HSC ends.
- Some teachers say spend AT LEAST half the time studying and revising and relax for the rest of the time.

ended up writing 4 pages of notes for business studies today. bleh i believe that it's best that you study one day, relax the next and keep to this routine ! or you just burnout. i have so much work to do esp starting research for my history extension major work and i wana finish writing notes up for all my subjects before the holidays end so when i have my half yearlies i can just start revising instead of putting all of my information together. kaka im trying very hard to be a nerd !

edit:if any of you are doing studies of re and have information on St Paul, Moses, Hassidism and Pope John XXIII esp on things like their influence on the religious traditions can you send them to me, thanks.

I will make an effort to do some study every day, at least on mondays to fridays, weekends will be study-free. I want to be ready for next year, but i also wanna relax a bit, so it'll be interesting to see how i balance things.

I still have no idea which of these 2 alternatives to pick for my study timetable - But I'll probably end up doing both... I'm going to go with the flow and see how I feel for a while - LOL! Probably not such a good idea, but we'll see; I'm so indescisive!

I've already started studying Maths today; tomorrow will be more Maths, Physics and, maybe, some Business and a spot of reading for English... :D

Pick mine, pick mine! :D

I'm also a bit of a indecisive person too, in the end, just see which one works better for you.

I also happened to be doing maths on Monday. Also going to be doing further maths today.

Damn, it's getting late. Better log off now. Been on bos for too long today XD

For you, just put all three of them together.
Im going with the 1/2 relax, 1/2 study

i think moreso from a hectic year esp during term 3. thus after completing our prelim course we still had to engage in one whole quarter of our hsc course.

When I was doing my HSC I allowed myself to have time off to enjoy christmas and new years. Then after new year I started studying all through Jan till skool started again.
Remember that your bodies and brains have been working all year, and they need a well deserved break too. So be kind to yourself and listen to your body and if it says 'enough' dont push yourself and stop!

Christmas is a time of peace and happiness. Take that time to enjoy your family.
I suggest everyone to study but dont be so hectic cause you've got a big year next year, so take it easy Riviet.
Head down to the city this new year's eve to catch some fireworks displays.

You've got plenty of stuff to enjoy this january-
Big Day Out
Post Christmas Shopping
Movies (any good ones coming out next month?)
40+ heatwaves/bushfires (eww..)
Overcrowded beaches
Aust Open
Australia Day stuff
Sydney Festival

Put your maths book away and get a newspaper and find out when you can catch some of these things.

Stay fresh till school starts but at the same time, dont lose track of study otherwise you'd suffer a brain drain these holidays. Keep up with revision.

I agree, this year was hectic next year going to be as confusing and tough as Shane Warne ripping one down the legside and crashing into your offstump.

So everyone just relax and enjoy yourself, don't wear yourselves too much. Just revise enough so you don't forget 10 weeks of info!!!! Remember to enjoy these holidays cos it maybe the last we have for this year....
