You should probably mention that the values of;

Mary Shelley; don't allow for much positive light on technology, since she's a Romantic writer, this context was very much anti-industrial/enlightenment, which means that any technology will generally be portrayed in a negative light.

Ridley Scott; while not being a Romantic writer (Post Modern? Not Sure) also focuses on values such Compassion and Acceptance, the Preservation of Nature and such, personally I don't know a word which fits what I'm looking for but I'm you'll understand me when I say that Compassion, Acceptance and the Preservation don't exactly go hand-in-hand with positive views on Science.

Honestly, I can't actually think of any positive views on Science in either of the texts myself, so Good Luck to you.
