Hi guise,

I am a freshy and i'm chasing a mechatronics major and my first year subjects are:
MATH1131
PHYS1121
COMP1911
ENGG1000

What do you recommend for my 2nd semester?
I have already chose:
MATS1101
MATH1231
and I will choose MMAN1300 after i pass PHYS1121 and MATH1131.

My 4th option is still very much open but I can not choose ELEC1111, because it clashes with MATS

PLEASE HELP D: thanks

You really have just two options - ELEC1111 or another first year engineering elective.

When I was in your situation, I decided not to do MATS (because it has way too many hours and bad time slot options), instead I did another elective, and I did ELEC.

l was in the same situation as you
mats1101 has way too many hours and clashes with like everything
so l decided to do chem1011, which only has assumed knowledge of year 11 chemistry. should be a walk in the park if you did hsc chem.
l reccomend you do the ones l chose

chem1011
math1231
elec1111
mman1300

and l heard elec's hard as hell

was elec difficult?
Not as difficult as people make it out to be, but still a challenging and interesting course. Apparently it has a high fail rate, like PHYS1121/1131, so you should try and keep up to date with the work and iirc, you must pass each component in order to pass the course, so I think many people get caught out in the mid-sem (but I think there was a supplementary).
