Yesterday in business studies.
It was about the word 'gross' and how it is pronounced.

TEACHER: The answer is gross profit.
FRIEND: Wait, isn't it like, 'grah - oss' profit ?
CLASS: What ?
FRIEND: Like, it's said 'grah-oss'. Because there's 'grow-ss' like as in, look at that 'grow-ss' bug on that table. And then there's 'grah-oss' profit ? Like, they are spelt the same but said differently.
ME: Um.. no.
I know who said that. Yay.
So need to write down some of the classic things people say.

Last night at a dinner party we were talking about a girl that would have graduated high school last year if she hadn't have pulled out.
She is in year eleven this year.
A student in my year asked me "Hey, didn't she used to be older than us ?"
I was just like "Do you realise what you just said ?"

Not a student quote but whatever.
In english, when we had to do a representation on Pride and Prejudice, one of my friends did a 'Jane Austen Webpage' on myspace or whatever
And someone commented 'omg are you really that chick that wrote the book?'
lol
And checking out stuff for Emma/Clueless, some people seriously went on about how Jane Austen totally ripped off Clueless, and Alicia Silverstone should sue her for copyright infringement

We were in Modern History, discussing Hitler and Nazi Germany as we had numerous times in previous lessons, when my friend asked me -rather loudly- "Who's Hitler?"

Best one I can remember is
"Is China a country?"

Oh, and my friend believing that a lolipop stick grew into a carnivorous plant, to the point that she went around telling other people, and was defending it to some of the guys in our class who told her it wasn't real ^^

we were in Ancient talking about the Battle of Salamis and and this guy in my class asked "so what did the persians do at night? did they just pull off each other?" (i think he was trying to ask how did they un attcah the ships from each other) Then another person said quickly "yea, while the egyptians came in from the rear"

maybe you have to be into ancient history to find it funny......

A couple of weeks ago I was ordering some chinese takeaway when I asked my brother's girlfriend what she wanted.
HER: I dunno, what kind of Chinese do they have?
ME: Like, everything. What kind of Chinese do you like?
HER: Sushi.
