Hey Guys,

I just put in my estimated HSC marks on the HSC and experimented with different values and so on,

But i've found that in X and XX Maths even a 65 scales up to 90, this seems to be the case for Atar Calc and Matrix Atar Calc.

Is this inaccurate?
Thank You.

Its probably close to accurate. MX1 and MX2 scale extremely well as they usually are the two highest scaling subjects.

Thank you so much for the quick reply, I'm relieved to know that the two of my subjects are as well-scaled as they say.

Well, you have to do well at them for scaling to have an impact. But MX1 and MX2 scale incredibly well. A guy I knew who did the HSC in 2009 got around 93 with band 6's in MX1 and MX2, despite the fact that he had high band 4's/low band 5's in the rest of his subjects.

when you say scale does this mean going from raw percentages to hsc marks or to the 'scaled mark'

cause if you go from percentage to hsc mark thats aligning not scaling

No, the scaling by UAC to work out the ATARs.
