oh and for q10 a) Use the joint distribution notes on blackboard :) explains marginal distribution

(B)
P(A|B) = P(A and B)/P(B) = 0.19/(0.19/1) = 0.19/1 = 0.19

(C)
For them to independent P(A|B) = P(A)

P(A|B) = 0.19 whereas P(A) = 0.31 <-----add up 0.19, 0.09. 0.03


My mistake was calculating probablity for just one day, instead of all 3.

I think your (b) and (c) is wrong. Check out sarevok's reasoning.

No sarevok, you are right - i just found it odd that they would put s conditional probability question before a joint probability one

komit, u sure that q10b is wrong? i asked a mate who got the same answer as me. hes also confirmed it with his mates.

its not in the chart. X could equal -1, 0 and 1. The question asks what the P of x equaling -1 would be out of those 3 options
