Since theres no general HSC Science course sub forum i didn't know where else to post.

Anyways i was wondering the importance of remembering specific dates of significant scientists, discoveries or events.

Do you have to remember them? Or is it fine to talk about the topic without the dates?

Do you get marked down for not writing them in your answer?

Thankyou

It depends on how specific the dot-point is. If the dot-point asks you to know 'when' then I suggest you learn the relevant dates. If not, then just have a generalised knowledge of the time-frame e.g. post WWII, during the industrial revolution etc. A lot of the dot-points in the sciences do not require a knowledge of historical dates/times anyway.
