hey people

i just did a career quiz and ive realised that
even i've always thought that
commerce would be one of my uni-courses
i never realised some of the REAL jobs associated
with commerce are really boring

and that the money in commerce isnt better
than anywhere unless until you become the big boss

and this past year ive heard that companies like
people with an engineering or a law degree
for the big bosses / manager positions
(because they organise/ think differently)

so would an engineering/ law degree be an
option for managerial positions...

or should
i stick to eng/com or com/ law?
btw- which would be better ?

Well, the first question you ask is- What do you actually want to do? Even if you work in the highest paid industry- if you're not interested and you're shit at it, you'll get paid shit. If you want to do a mangerial position, it depends what industry... but Commerce/Business tends to lend itself to teaching methods of managing people (eg. HR) and running a business (eg. Finance).

Anyhow, the money in commerce isn't too bad IMO- you can look at a post I made in this topic (@ http://community.boredofstudies.org/showthread.php?t=77397&page=3 )- look at the PDF file which has salaries of accountants and CFOs/partners; a survey conducted by BRW.
