Applied for a job here at the Centrelink in town.
Anybody work here? What's the conditions like (apart from lots of abuse)?

whoa you can axctually apply for those places without any sort of prior training?
or are you talking full time job?

well obviously there will be on the job training or a training period of 1-2 weeks.

Haha I know nothing about Centrelink call centres (or most call centres actually)- but I'd imagine you guys would rank right up there with the people from ATO in popularity at parties... of course it depends what kind of party^^

I'm only going to be there for a year, therefore I don't really care about the "parties" :rolleyes:

Hmm, not really worth it then. Most call centre pay about that. Are you deferring uni?

cb you should have applied for coke/neverfail, they pay similar and pay 80% of ur uni degree if you are a perm :)

Go to www.vogue.com.au, and go down to the career forum, there are countless people who have actually worked in Centrelink's call centres and have copped abuse well from what I read anyway. Didn't look pretty.
