Hi,
I got my last trial mark today, and I'm interested in what ATAR I'd be looking at if I could replicate the same marks in the actual HSC exams, given a ranking of first in every subject with an average assessment mark of around 95 for most of them.

Trial Marks:
English Advanced: 98/105
English Extension: 49/50
Modern History: 91/100
History Extension: 48/50
Mathematics Extension 1: 81/84
Mathematics Extension 2: 103/114, teacher took the few things we hadn't covered out.
Software DD: 85/100

My school's ranked in the 300s somewhere I think, but we used the Independent Trials if that's anything to go off.

Thanks :)

Looks like u did very well overall. Gratz for that, but ranks would help to determine your atar.

With those trial marks and assuming your ranked first internally and externally, your HSC marks should roughly look like this

English - 96
EE1 - 49
Modern - 94
Ext history - 48
MX1 - 96
MX2 - 96
SDD - 91

With those marks I'd say you would be looking at 99.5+. However, this is a very rough estimate as aligning is very difficult to predict as it changes from year to year.

What are your ranks? You cannot get an estimate at all before you give us that information. Wow, you got great marks in the trials - good work, but they mark very differently in the HSC centres. Your trial marks are pretty much useless for an estimate... it must be said.

99+ easily if externals are annihilated.

Hmm... okay. Didn't read. My bad.

97+, mostly dependent on how well you yourself go in the HSC.

iirc the independent trials are the most difficult for maths extension 1 and 2, bcuz most of it is outside the syllabus. so if u can do so well in them. i reckon you should be looking at:

99.75-99.85 with similar marks in hsc
