Hm yeah, last year was one of our best cohorts - we went from a school rank of 120ish to 70ish and there was only 1 Band 6.

It doesn't matter, I'll smash out trials and crush him. > >

Oh shit, got paper 2 back and am currently tied 1st
I pray to the engrish gods that paper 1 will pull through for me

no offense but I really wouldnt feel any sense of accomplishment from my atar and am shocked people would.

I guess its because I dont really have academics based goals. The only reason i want that atar is for admission.

Yeah, immersing myself in mathematics is the most important thing to me...

i get a sense of accomplishment from like tucking in chairs
how would you not feel accomplished if you got a good ATAR
it doesn't have to be useful lel

And I think that's totally fine! I think everyone has different things they want to be proud of for putting their all into. Mine definitely exceeds just studying for the ATAR - but it is my main focus for this year.

Heck, I got excited when I did 100 laps (even though each lap was only like 600m each) for a charity run throughout the day, and that attitude - exceeding my own limitations - applies for hopefully ALL things I do.
