UOW employment for law grads vs ANU

Work in a large company in Sydney supporting their legal counsel, every lawyer (including their paralegals) is from either UNSW or USYD despite there being like 10 other law schools in NSW as well. But it doesn't matter which law school you go to (according to the egalitarians on the internet at...

    Easy Law Electives

Hey Trans4m, would you say this is an easy course to score well in? I see the assessments are either 2 class tests or 2 take assignments or a combo, but last year for summer the class tests were the day after each other. Would you recommend it in terms of getting High D's/HD (I am interested in...

    Law WAM boosters??

Hey guys, have had a few threads on Commerce and Gen Ed WAM boosters, but what about law electives? Any goodies that have particularly generous lecturers doling out the HDs? I've heard of people scoring 90+ for thesis subjects, that would be a generous boost. Any others? I was thinking of...

Hey guys, I'm still a little confused regarding actus reus and mens rea. I get that they must coincide for common law offences, but where the offence is statutory is it possible to have like 3 actus reus and 1 mens rea?? Like for possession, if I understand it's AR 1) Possess a drug= act...

Hey, so just noticed that 1st class hons for sem 2 2013 & summer 2014 (how do they figure that since courses are still running?) has creeped up to 80.36%, the first time semester 2 (and I imagine this is the relevant period for the majority of the cohort) has been above 80. Course outlines

Hey guys, Does anyone know if there is a database of law course outlines available out there, or study/note sites that they are most regularly updated to? The commerce ones are freely available from the ASB site, however I can't locate any for law.. I know law courses are prone to change...

    Sem 2 2013 Results

Anyone paid the $50 to have an exam remarked? Does it annoy the lecturers and they mark you down (form says could go up or down), best time to contact them? I was thinking maybe leave it a week as they're probably flooded with emails atm.

This years ACCT1511 is freakin hard

Yeah that's accounting for you.. I thought last year it was due to most people being on around 40/40 to 42/40 (bonus marks for attendance) pre-exam because of the quizzes and easy CP marks so they bump up the exam difficulty to essentially using slight differences in questions that you know the...

    Law CP marks

Hey more experienced law students, whats the deal with CP marks, when do teachers usually release them? First sem I had to wait until getting my exams back to see the mark and they were on the papers... Seems like they are pretty much a tool to scale if that is the case if teachers only bundle...

    Does UNSW Scale?

I just received back my law exams today and it seems that after adding up one course is off by 6 marks and the other another 6.5... Does UNSW law normally scale, and by this much?? Seems rather extreme, you write D/HD essays in exam yet you get scaled back into credit? Never heard of it...
