    UNSW O-Week Tickets? Arc?

The only ticketed events are the Wednesday Band night (free) and Thursday Dance Party ($10 for Arc members). You don't need to get any tickets to attend the Monday night movie or Tuesday Comedy night. Band tickets can be received here...

Which university? Student life/ courses/ etc

Like everyone has said, it's incredibly subjective depending on who you ask and what you want to get out of it. I'm so biased but I love UNSW, I feel like there's plenty of opportunities to meet people and get involved. You can join clubs and societies, do a revue, join one of many volunteering...

B.Commerce/B.Laws: Transferring, WAM and employment opportunities

Re: Got accepted into b.commerce/b.laws at macquarie university. thoughts on this deg My friends who study law at UNSW are probably the most social people I know. But that's also facilitated by the awesome events from the Law Society and Law Revue, I don't know what it would be like at other...

    UNSW Subject Reviews.

PHSL2101 Physiology 1A Ease: 7/10 Theory is pretty straight forward (except for a couple of tricky topics that will require a bit extra work). In labs I found it a bit hard to understand what was happening (make sure you prepare every week for the pop lab quizzes, they'll test really specific...

    Good GenEd Classes

Can anyone recommend any good GenEd classes they've done in terms of interest and ease, that are also available this semester? Although, nothing within the science faculty.

    O-Week Extreme

It can be confusing because the Bachelor of Medical Science is in the science faculty, but the the School of Medical Science is in the medicine faculty. So for administrative purposes/anything degree related, refer to the science faculty. But in regard to your stage 2 classes and beyond...

What is the EASIEST subject at UNSW?

It's a kind of hard question to answer since there are SO MANY classes at UNSW. But I have to concur, astronomy is extremely popular since apparently it's incredibly easy and online

    HELP!

My opinion is pretty biased but I'd say go with BSc Adv. At least within the degree you can choose what to major in, what interests you, instead of being stuck in a pretty fixed degree, where you would have to transfer out to do something different.

    UNSW O-Week The Quest Begins!

Not at all! O-Week is awesome in that it provides a lot of great opportunities to meet new people and make friends. I'd definitely suggest checking out O-Week Xtreme and even activities such as campus tours etc will allow you to get to know people who might even be in the same boat as you. Plus...

    UNSW O-Week The Quest Begins!

The countdown is on now to O-Week and it's going to be amazing! If you haven't already, check out the website http://www.oweek.info/ to sign up to the mailing list, O-Week Xtreme and plan your quest (a feature which should soon be available). A huge component of O-Week is the night events and...

    UNSW Subjects/ Rooms

I think there is a lot of overlap but in Adv Sci SCIF we have streams where students can choose what they learn in the lecture, I don't think Med Sci has that option. Also, last year there was an exam for Med Sci students but Adv Sci didn't have one.

    On Campus Accomodation

I applied for Shalom and never heard back from them (not even to confirm they received my application) and New (which I did get an interview for) and iirc I found out the outcome by the end of December (the year before I was to start university). I would assume with uni starting in just over a...

Is the UNSW Peer mentoring program worth it?

I was a mentee last year (in the science faculty) and hoping to be a mentor this year and it really depends. My mentor was great with consistently meeting up with me, giving me helpful advice and hints that I wouldn't have otherwise found out (or not until much later) and it wasn't awkward. But...

    UNSW terrace

Have you received any confirmation of a place, lease agreement or request to pay a security deposit? I secured a place and people who were offered one are allowed to move in from the 18th January 2013 onwards, so there are probably people already living there.

    Medical Science and Electives @UNSW

My HSC chem mark was lower than that and I still did 1031/1041 and got decent marks, but it's up to you. You can move down to 1011 if you don't like it, but I don't know how easy it is to move up to 1031. And on the topic of psychology, I really liked it (but then again I'm doing...

Medical Science Timetable -.- HELP PLZ

Yep, that timetable looks pretty normal. You can still change your classes, your class times etc. even after you've enrolled. Click on update your enrolment, and there should be a list of the courses you've enrolled in. You can hit either drop or swap to find a new class or enrol in different...

    A few questions on timetables/subjects

If you're planning to accomodate for both majors for the whole year, you're probably gonna struggle a bit. Even if you do MATH1131, CHEM1011, BABS1201 and PSYC1001 in semester 1, you're gonna have CHEM1021, PSYC1011, BIOS1101, SCIF1131, MATH1231 and BIOT1011 leftover, which may have to be taken...

Doing scif courses in semester 1??

The lecture that is only in week 1 is for all scif1121 students, where you pretty much get told what the course is about, what you're going to do, what the assessments are etc. Also from memory Julian (the lecturer) asked some random question about artwork as well. It's pretty much just a...
