    Chemistry - general thoughts on the exam

    I think you might have stuffed that Q entirely...not going to get 5/7...i think you should be hoping for any marks what so ever. NaOH doesn't replace a natural product.

    Only one school in the ACT does HSC, which happens to be mine...lucky me. Beats the dodgy ACT system! Continual Assesment? What were they thinking?

    You needed to identify how it followed Koch's Postulates, like first of all they identified the pathogen in the infected organism

    German Continuers

    Although I don't actually do German Continuers, I was there at the time. At our Exam Centre in Canberra, there was a huge storm and the power was knocked out...They had to do most of the exam in the dark!

    Wow, this exam was pretty easy for an "extension"...lookin for some good marks.

    This was a fun exam! Probably due to the fact that it was incredibly easy...looking forward to Extension now and a nice Kangaroo Salad!

    How much u wrote and wat mark u expect ?

    Section 1: Did last, 5 1/2 pages...hopefully 11/15 Section 2: Did second, 6 pages...maybe 12/15 Section 3: Did first, 10 pages...heres hoping for lucky 13/15! Always was the optimist though!

    Canberra Grammar...so your realistic one may be a bit lower...more 70-75. Hope that helps

    Extension French (Info answering the question "Should I do it?")

    French Ext is awesome...watch a movie and answer some q's in english! I even found the oral easier than the continuers one and I only started french in year 7. Essentially, have an opinion on everything and the oral wont be too hard.http://community.boredofstudies.org/images/icons/icon14.gif

    You can guesstimate but you need to know how your school has previously gone. If you were at my school, you would be looking at a UAI of around 75-80

    Enzyme Make-Up

    It is more that the active zone alters and hence the substrate - or key - will not fit the enzyme active zone - or lock and that means that the enzyme won't work anymore!
