Hi, is anyone able to tell me whether i should hv hope or not?

Basically, I gave up on studying completely around the start of term 2 for personal reasons, however my parents want me to try for law school so I'm trying to rebuild my grades/ranks - I'm also interested in forensic science or any courses that is related to bio but has high employability rates (my family isn't financially stable so I want a stable job with a good income).
Alternative entry pathways are in my case expensive and time consuming so I am desperate for direct entry into uni!
For more context I used to dream being a histologist or technical officer in labs :)

But the thing is my internals r rlly bad which I'm worried ab since Bachelor of Law requires approx. 95-99.5 atar depending on the uni.
My ranks r mid at most and my cohort performs quite well among non-selective public schools but not at the very top from what I've researched.
If I get above 85-90/100 for all subjects in the HSC exam can I at least hope for a good bio/science-related course or law course that requires a lower atar, and perhaps a double degree that includes both?

Top 3 courses I hv in my preferences on uac:
1. UTS Bachelor of Forensic Science Bachelor of Law (double degree)
2. UNSW Bachelor of Medicinal Chemistry (honours) - don't rlly want to do this bc of honours but put it in 2nd just incase
3. Macquarie Uni Bachelor of Medical Sciences and Bachelor of Laws (double degree) - many ppl around me consider macq uni to be "easy/for dropouts or low atars" so i am hesitant to go here
Western Sydney is also on my list

These r my grades up to trials (incl. task weighting - the 30% indicates trials):
Eng Adv - ranked 5 places up from middle (w/o trials)
25% - 23/25
20% - 18/20
25% - 15/20
30% - (estimate) 29/100 // 10/20 for 20% of the 30% (they gave mod B highest weighting)
Maths Adv - ranked 10 places up from middle (w/o trials)
20% - 33/40
25% - 34/40
25% - 33/41
30% - (estimate) 60/100
Chemistry - ranked 5 places up from middle (w/o 3rd task and trials)
20% - 30/35
25% - 16/30
25% - 25/35
30% - (estimate) 20/100
Biology - ranked middle (w/o trials)
25% - 31/40
25% - 33/40
20% - 29/40
30% - (estimate) 56/100
Modern History - ranked middle (w/o trials)
20% - 22/28
25% - 37/45
25% - 17/25
30% - (estimate) 55/100

ik this was very long, so thank you to anyone who replies!! 😁 I'm also open to any uni course suggestions!!!

Your trials estimates seem a bit conservative I'm ngl

Idk about ATAR sorry - would you able to provide rough ballparks for ur school's rank and how many b6s they average per subject in the past years? It might help others!
As for uni courses, forensic science sounds sick!! If you're interested in lab stuff I know ppl who wanna do bachelor of clinical science which might be an 85, idk? Also have a look into all the various pathologies imo like blood and stuff, it sounds similar to what you wanted to do and I feel like they're overlooked careers - idk how hard getting into them is tbh tho, some require medicine but I do think some can be entered via normal pathways - they work closely with forensic-like things! If it's the problem solving ur into then I'd recommend having a look hehe

I'm ngl tho u'll probably get into forensic science @ UTS esp if you apply for early entry

I'd also recommend looking at what selection rank stuff ur eligible for!

stuff for pathology:

im 100% sure i failed eng adv but I think i did fairly ok for mod B which was weighted 20% out of the 30% so idk how that will go
for maths, bio and mod his i think i either did mid or borderline failed
chem i hv no hope in 😭
btw im only estimating like this bcus ik i did rlly bad as i didn't study AT ALL (except memorise quotes for eng) - like i said i gave up studying from term 2 and im only now trying to get back up ☹

thank you so much!! to specify my school ranked 58th for overall hsc (im not sure if it's within only non-selective publics schools tho)
i researched b6s averages but nothing useful comes up sorry :(
and i did apply for early entry at UTS, however idk if i'll make it since i only got good scores for bio and maths - chem i almost failed
i'll also look into bachelor of clinical sciences it sounds very close to what im looking for 😆
hv a great day!!!

For band 6 stuff have u looked at HSCninja for ur school? You can ctrl + f the courses you do to see!

That’s a pretty decent school rank! Esp bc ur ranks are currently pretty good 😍 I reckon you’ll be able to get above 80 but 90 might be a hard stretch unfortunately, the possibility is def there esp if you can put more effort into HSC (understandable if other circumstances makes that hard), I’d ask like @jimmysmith560 for more tho

And I’m glad u like the courses!! Underrated courses imo ehehehe

oooh i didnt think of hscninja - these r what i found from it(2023 standards):
eng adv - 14 students got band 6
maths adv - 18
biology - 14
chemsitry - 6
modern history - 2
ig they r low but hopefully i become one of these students for 2025 😖
thank you again!!!
