1+i is a root of the eq where a and b are all real. find a and b

f(1+i)=1+2i-1+(a+2i)(1+i)+5+ib
=5+ib+2i+(a+ai+2i-2)
=3+a+4i+ai+ib=0
a+3=0
a=-3
4+a+b=0
b=-1
