Hi everyone,

I've gathered all the data for my SGP but now I've come to the point where I need to write my final report, I've always had a problem with this, so my question is, how do you write a geographical response/report? Is there a set scaffold? I've never been 100% sure how to respond to Geography long response questions, so any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks.

a report is easier to do than to answer it as an essay
you need:
- an introduction where you state your question, aims, hypotheses and possibly why you picked the question
- location map of where the issue you are investigating is
- background information (if you have some)
- findings with tables and whatnot
- conclusion, where you discuss your findings, analyse the data and talk about the limitations of your project

My table of contents looks like this
1. Introduction
1.1 Rationale
1.2 Aims
1.3 Hypotheses

2. Location Map
2.1 Map Of Area
2.2 Photographs
2.3 Sketch Map

3. Background Information
3.1 Environmental Impacts
3.2 Noise Pollution
3.3 Social Impacts

4. Methodology
4.1 Fieldwork
4.2 Observations
4.3 Reasoning For Sample
4.4 Processing Data

5. Findings

6. Conclusions
6.1 Analysis Of Data
6.2 Impacts
6.3 Limitations

7. References

hopefully that helps :)
